Does anybody have good things to say about YAZ birth control? I just recently switched to the birth control YAZ but haven't started taking it yet. I've seen tons of bulletins online where people have had nothing but negative things to say about YAZ. I would like to hear from someone who is on YAZ or knows someone else who is on it and likes it. Will discountinuing Yaz birth control relieve side effects or cause weight gain? I have been on Yaz birth control for about 7 months now in hopes to clear up my acne and decrease my cramps. Sure enough my face is clear and my cramps are gone. However, after extreme side effects such as: weight gain, skin rash, breast tenderness, and mood swings, I decided it would be best to come off the pill. Has anyone experienced any problems with coming off Yaz. Is it possible to drop the weight gained on the Yaz when coming off? Thank you all!

Does unprotected sex with YAZ birth control and tetracycline equal pregnant? Hi all. I have just completed my first month of Yaz birth control pill (today I will take my 3rd pill of the second packet). My period consisted of dark discharge and some very light spotting and it occurred Thursday (last inactive pill) through Friday (first active pill of this packet). I am not sure when I was supposed to expect my period anyway, so I am not sure if that was late or early or what. Also, here is the catch: I had sex two weeks ago today (on Jan 14) and we used the pull out method (I know i know, unwise...) but i get the sense that my partner accidently let some out because he seemed unusually concerned about whether i was on bcps. To add to the problem, I am currently taking tetracycline, and I am not sure by how much this decreases Yaz's effectiveness and whether or not I should be concerned about the tetracycline. All these factors combined make me incredibly nervous. Sorry for the long question, but I am a little anxious. I should also note that I have had an odd metallic taste in my mouth ever since I had sex. I have also been very very sleepy. I'm not sure if these are due to other factors but I thought I should mention them.

question about switching from seasonale to yaz birth control? i was taking seasonale birth control because i wanted to be able to only have a period every 3 months instead of every month. my health insurance will no longer cover the cost of seasonale and prescribed me yaz. yaz is regular birth control where you get a period every month. can you take yaz, and just skip the inactive pills and take it the same way as seasonale. im assuming that seasonale is just 3 months worth of active pills, and then your regular inactive pills for a week. also i was wondering if anyone has taken regular birth control pills that way. skipping the inactive pills at the end of the pack for 3 months. thanks!

Yaz birth control pills after miscarriage? I had a chemical pregnancy (miscarriage very early in pregnancy) last month (April 19th) and only bleed for 3 days. I started taking Yaz on April 22 my doctor said that it should be effective after 14 days around May 9th or 10th I started dark brown spotting (old blood) and it just stopped today I am supposed to start taking the white sugar pills tomorrow. I have gained about 2-4 pounds (which is odd because Yaz is a slight diuretic) and my breasts have gotten larger. I have also noticed that the veins on my breasts are more visible and my cervix is slightly soft. I know this is something that happens in in pregnancy but can it also be because of the birth control pills?

When will I start my period on Yaz birth control? I know I'll start on the last 4 pills, but which day of the last 4 white pills.
