What are the side effects of YAZ birth control ? i just got off the depo shot and my doctor has started me on yaz .. i just want to know about the side effects ... weight gain ,headaches stuff like that

What are the side effects of Yaz? I'm starting Yaz on Sunday and wanted to know some possible side effects. I know everyone's bodies react differently..but I wanted to know the maine side effects. Also..is weight gain likely? I hope not.. :\ If weight gain does occur..will it wear off in about 3 months, which is when she said most side effects will wear off? And when I'm done taking the pill (6 months) will the weight go away on it's own..or will I have to diet..yet again?

Will discountinuing Yaz birth control relieve side effects or cause weight gain? I have been on Yaz birth control for about 7 months now in hopes to clear up my acne and decrease my cramps. Sure enough my face is clear and my cramps are gone. However, after extreme side effects such as: weight gain, skin rash, breast tenderness, and mood swings, I decided it would be best to come off the pill. Has anyone experienced any problems with coming off Yaz. Is it possible to drop the weight gained on the Yaz when coming off? Thank you all!

Has anyone had severe side effects while on Yaz? I'm thinking that I should maybe quit using birth control pills. I got on it in the first place to help with acne because nothing else worked. Yaz worked wonders but I definitely don't want to have a stroke or something. I haven't had any bad side effects at all so I'm probably just being paranoid. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Yaz side effects? I just started taking Yaz on Sunday, and I have had cramping ever since. Also, even just the thought of food makes me feel sick. Is it typical to have these kind of side effects when starting a new type of pill? I previously used the patch for a year and never had any side effects at all. I was just wondering if anyone had similar experiences and if the side effects went away on their own with continued use or if you had to switch to a different pill.

Yaz side effects; is there anything better? Please help.? I'm at my wits end trying to find the right birth control for me. I've done: Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo: Made me uncontrollably moody/angry, etc. Took for 2 months. Nuvaring: cause mood swings and anxiety very badly. Took for a few weeks and was too much for me. Yaz: Now on it. I no longer really have a sex drive. I'm depressed more. And I feel hateful towards people for NO reason. I bleed/spot every day now. Been taking for 3 months. Please help. Anyone had similar side effects with birth control and have any suggestions? Also I have depression which I take Wellbutrin for. Maybe hormones in the birth control are making my depression worse? Please help.

A question about Yaz side effects? I started Yaz on Sunday. (i had my aunt flow on Thurs) I previously was not on any birth control. I started taking is on at night at 8:00 pm because i read about the nausea. Its Wenesday night now. My breast are so sore, especially my nipples. And i feel nausous after i take it (which i do eat with cracker) and ALL through our the day. is this normal? I was on a pill a while ago and dont remember being this sick. If you had these symptoms when taking Yaz , when did they go away? (a little side note, i was previously took provera for 10 to start my period). I always have periods but they are irregular and I went with yaz to regulate and help with my extreme pmdd symptons. For the side effects above, is it normal to have nausea through out the day?.. and were your nipples reall really sore?. how long did it last?.. and did you have any side effects? good or bad? The first month I did experience side effects, but at the beginning of it I had the flu so I didn't notice some of the initial ones. My problem is that I'm having hot flashes! I am a 23 year old female so this is weird. Every once in a while I just feel pretty hot and I have to cool down some how. I'm also more tired, and have an occasional heart palpitation. I know some of these are normal of hormone changes, but it still freaks me out... specially the feeling hot. Does anybody have unexpected bouts of higher body temp on yaz, or any birth control? YAZ side effects, do you like it and can you really not take aleve/advil while on it? also, i know this is probably obvious but im married and just had a baby, i do not want to get pregnant again anytime soon so should we use condoms as well or is the pill enough?

Wondering about Yaz side effects & experience? I'm about to start taking Yaz (not Yasmin) and wanted to know what others experienced when taking it. If you've been taking it, can you please let me know how/if it affected you and what it was like? With it being a newer birth control, there just aren't that many reports on the internet like there are with other drugs that have been around for awhile.

Anyone on Yaz that has experienced side effects? I have just started Yaz BC and I haven't noticed any major side effects besides an upset stomach and some mood swings. I have tried other birth control pills but I haven't been able to stay on them for an extended period of time due to side effects of depression. There is alot to choose from nowadays, I am 30, that are low-dose which are less likely to cause side effects.

Stopped taking Yaz, how long before the side effects stop? I took Yaz for 5 DAYS. The side effects were so severe that I called my Ob/Gyn and she said to stop immediately. My last pill was on Thursday, today is Monday. How much longer before the side effects go away? I feel absolutely horrible. Does anyone else have any experience with this? Maybe they could give me some insight. BTW, I will NEVER put synthetic hormones in my body again.

Has anyone had any negative side effects with Yaz? I swear that Yaz is making me so tired, irritable, gives me nausea, and my skin is breaking out. I never had this problem with my other BC (but had to change b/c of other reasons). Any one else have these symptoms? I've been on the pill for 4 months. Yaz having weird side effects? I've been on yaz for about five months now. It works, I suppose, since I'm not pregnant. But I'm having odd side effects - zero sex drive, mildly depressed, and tired all the time. Is this something that will go away with time? Or is there something I can do to alleviate them? It's a real pain to get an appointment to change my birth control, so I would prefer not to go that route. But if I have to, I will.

YAZ side effects - clotting? I know this is an "ask your doctor" question...but am more interested in other women's experiences with this pill. I am on the last week of my first pack of YAZ pills, am on my period, and have noticed that I have alot of blood clots. a question about birth control YAZ side effects...? i know that it is normal to bleed a lil even though your not on your period while on birth control. its only a small amount like spot or blotch. but it was saying if its excessive or a large amount it could be that maybe yaz isnt right for your body. i was wondering how much is irregular? and how often... because it is common that every time i use the restroom i notice a lil blood when i wipe and a lil dark brown stuff on my underwear. i know it cant be caused by an std because my boyfriend and i lost our virginities together and still havent had sex without a condom... which was about a month ago. im taking the precaution of waiting until yaz adapts to my body. and i was wondering if maybe this bleeding was a sign of a bad reaction or something. im about 4 weeks into taking the pill.

Switching from Yaz to Yazmin - side effects of Yazmin?? I took Yaz for two months. Presently, I am living in a country for six months where Yaz is unavailable. I finished my pack of Yaz on Saturday. I decided that I will switch to Yazmin since I heard that Yaz is just a new version of Yazmin. I took two pill of Yazmin yesterday (Monday) because I didnt take any on Sunday. I got horrible headaches and today I woke up with nasuea. Is this normal? I read about very bad side effects of Yazmin and it is scaring me.. because I didnt feel side effects with Yaz? What are the consequences of switching from Yaz to Yazmin? Does anyone know? Is it like starting over? meaning, do I have to wait about a month for the pill to really work? Also, Yaz had placebo pills and this Yazmin doesn't, it takes a break for 7 days. What are the side effects of this?

Side effects of Yaz birth control? My doctor recently prescribed me Yaz for birth control. I have been having problems finding the right BC for me. I've had problems with so many side effects from spotting, to cramping, tenderness in breasts and weight gain. I was wondering if there are any women out there who have or are using this pill that can tell me how it worked out for them. Did you gain a lot of weight? YAZ birth control side effects? I looked in the other questions and no one touched upon this.. When sexually excited, I remain rather dry. This is annoying and unpleasant. I just started taking YAZ about a week ago, but I also had laproscopic surgery about a week ago. Has anyone else had this side effect? Do you think it is from the b.c or the surgery?

Side Effects of Yaz? I started taking Yaz on Tuesday(3 days ago). I haven't felt any different. No side effects at all, is this normal? Should I have felt at all different by now, nausea, head aches, etc? YAZ birth control pills, side effects, NSAIDS? Hello, I am 39, no kids and am now about to try Yaz as my third BC formula in an attempt to reduce cramping & heavy periods due to uterine fibroids. Tried and discontinued Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and Allesse generic due to side effects. But my periods are just too painful, so I'm trying one more method. Yaz is my last, best hope! I am encouraged by the ladies who seem to report less stomach upset, fatigue, and general yuckiness than with regular BCs. Please share your Yaz experiences with me. Also, I notice on the package insert that "daily" use of NSAIDS like Advil is not advised due to possible raising of potassium levels. Can I take Advil at all... for example, during my period? (Although now my period won't be as painful... right?) Thanks

Side effects after stopping Yaz? I tool Yaz for 2 whole months and then stopped because I was tired of some really weird side effect I got that were intensifyling like: hot flashes (I'm only 23!) abdominal bloating, mood swings, and water retention. Somehow, I seemed to retain a lot of water in the soles of my feet. It's been a week since I stopped, and I'm the puffy soles, a fast hearbeat and headaches! Are these symptoms of stopping birth control pills? Why would I get these? I stopped Yaz because I wanted to get rid of these! (Never had them on my own natural hormones). I want to be normal again! Are these common? How long for these side effects of stopping the pill to go away?

Late Period/Side Effects on YAZ bc? I've been on Ortho TriCyclen Lo for almost 2 years and just recently started on the new YAZ birth control pill this month. I am still on my first pack and have just started my sugar pills in the last week of my pack. Normally I would have my period on Tuesday or Wednesday morning but it is now Wed afternooon and no sign of it. I have also been experiencing frequent nausea, very tender breasts, and unusual cramping. Has anyone else experienced a late period or bad side effects from YAZ? My fiancee and I were sexually active throughout the beginning of the pack but used condoms and I have NEVER missed a pill.. i take it everyday at the same time. HELP! Just of further note: i switched off of ortho after 2 yrs because of breakthrough bleeding and very heavy periods. But Im about to switch back to it, as I can handle that much better than I can handle this HORRIBLE NAUSEA!

Has anyone had YAZ birthcontrol side effects? I had posted another question asking if my period is supposed to last longer since I just started taking birth control about a month ago, but I have some other concerns now. I've been having mood swings, feeling sad for no reason at all, getting bad acne breakouts and got a skin rash on my stomach and a bit on my legs. It looks like broken blood vessels under my skin. It started as a small dot, and that went away after a few days. (I went to Urgent Care on Saturday and the doctor gave me some anti-biotics). However, I just noticed the same type of thing happening (only worse) on my stomach again. It's Yaz birth control, has anyone taking this same kind experienced anything like this? I read about a few people having mood swings but only one other person described something similar to my skin problem. And yes, I'm going to the doctor first thing in the morning.. I'm just really worried and want some kind of answers! Please help

genertic welbutrin while on Yaz, any side effects? I have been on birthcontrol pills for 7 years, been on Yaz one year. Yaz has been great, 3 day long periods, predictable, great. 2 months ago my dr prescribed me generic Welbutrin. Welbutrin was a trainwreck so I stopped it after about a month and a half. Last month my period lasted 2 weeks, this month I spotted on and off. My question would be would the Webutrin (generic) decrease the effectiveness of my birthcontrol pill? I am sexually active, and a little concerned. I've never had an unpredictable cycle like that before.

Does YAZ have bad side effects? im switching from nuvaring becuase of low libido and nausea for the first three days of it each month. i also have had recurring bv infections that i think may be from it. Yaz birth control....no side effects for me.? Yaz -- Side Effect? I have been on Yaz for the last eight days, but unfortunately I have had my period for the last eight days. Normally, I have it for 6-7 days.However, it is currently showing no signs of slowing down. Did anyone else have this? If so, how long is this to be expected? How long is too long? It is pretty frustrating when you take it to help that, and it makes things worse. Other than that, the only other bad side effect I have had is my skin has gotten worse.
